Construction of gas transmission pipeline on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge

Project Objective:

Development of gas transmission infrastructure in North & South-Western region of the country to supply gas to planned and to be installed power stations, industrial units, commercial units and other customers as per their demand. The project construction of 36-inch 10-km 1000 psig pipeline begins at valve station at Ibrahimabad under Tangail District on the Eastern side of Bangabandhu Shetu along the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge up to Saidabad under Sirajganj District on the Western side of Bangabandhu Shetu creating scope for supplying gas to the North & South-Western region.

Implementation Period : July 2021 to June 2025

Source of Finance : Company’s own financing

Project Cost (Tk.):

Total 297,39,00,000/- (Two Hundred Ninety Seven Crore Thirty None Lac)   Foreign cost: Tk.176,07,00,000/- (One Hundred Seventy Six Crore Seven Lac)

Progress Achieved:

The Company engaged consulting house Infrastructure Investment Facilitation Company (IIFC) and consultant of the Railway Bridge Authority finalized the design of the pipeline portion along the Railway Bridge. Collected on 19-11-2020 the Liquidated Certificate from MoF for implementation of the Project under own fund of the Company. The administrative  order has been issued for the approved DPP.
